With the stamp duty threshold increasing from £125,000 to £250,000 until 31st March 2025, you can beat the Stamp Duty changes.

In 2022 the Government temporarily doubled the level at which people begin paying Stamp Duty, from £125,000 to £250,000, which changes to the previous level of £125,000 from 31st March 2025. Until then, this could save our homebuyers up to £2,500 on our new homes for sale.*

The Government further increased the level at which first time buyers start paying Stamp Duty up to £425,000. Which changes to to the previous level of £300,000 from 31st March 2025. Until then, if you are buying your first home and it costs less than £425,000, you won’t need to pay any stamp duty! The table below shows how much stamp duty you would need to pay depending on the price of your first home.
